An Afternoon in NJ

I had a great time at the Bridal Shower for whymercy. Getting to the Port Authority to catch the bus proved to be quite the adventure.  I left Brooklyn at 11:00, hoping to buy a bagel with lox spread from Terrace Bagels...Not dice.  The line was out the door and I needed to hustle, especially since the subway is usually a nightmare on the weekend.  It took me an hour to get there.  I wandered around for 15 minutes until I found the ticket booth and bought my tickets.  I only had a cup of tea for breakfast.  I had time for a slice of Hawaiian pizza before wandering around clueless for a good ten minutes before finally finding it.

The bus not on time, so I called my ride, Ariel, to tell her I'd be late.  She was cool with it.  The ride to the Willowbrook Mall only took a half hour.  I read Time Magazine on the ride there.  a lot of people are relying on mass transit now that gas is so expensive.

The ride to Laura's house didn't take long at all.  The weather rocked--sunny with a light breeze.  The food was good and I got to catch up with people I hadn't seen in a few months.  The bride to be got lots of amazing gifts.  There were fun games like bridal shower bingo.  Everyone wore which gifts they thought Ellen would get on the card.  Another neat game was Two Truths and a Lie.  You tell two facts about yourself and one lie and everyone has to guess the lie.  Here were mine:  I am a Horror Writer, an Online Editor and I live in New Jersey.  Can you spot the lie???
