The Kindness of Strangers...

Last night after meeting up with friends to see Tusk, I did some shopping at Duane Reade and Trader Joe's, leaving me with 3 heavy shopping bags to lug to the subway and then home in Brooklyn. As, I started to place 2 of my bags under the turnstyle, a guy I didn't even know who was headed to 14th Street whipped out his MetroCard and swiped it for me, a savings of $2.50!! I thanked him gathered my bags and headed on my way.

I've lived in Brooklyn for almost 20 years; I'm in Manhattan often, since it's a short subway ride away. This is the first time a stranger gave me a free ride, no questions asked. Sometimes people surprise you...
