Irene's Aftermath

So Irene wound up being downgraded to a tropical storm, with top windspeeds of 65 MPH.  Some debris slammed against my windows late last nigtht, keeping me up for a few hours.  Forturnately, no twisters touched down in my part of Brooklyn.  There's some water damage on my office and kitchen cleilings I need to make my landlady aware of.  Am relieved my power/Internet didn't go out, a huge concern, since I work from home! The subway system won't be up and running until tomorrow or Tuesday; yet another reason I'm happy to be working from home!
