I'm using Final Draft, a great screenwriting program that takes care of the formatting, leaving me free to focus on the story. Screenwriting is extremely interesting; you tell your story and you can only show characters/action that the camera can see. This creates some limitations, like using internal monologue sparingly, via Voice Over Narration, lest it become trite. I believe "Crosshairs" has the potential to be powerful short film!
I wrote a screenplay called "TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING" back in college, gasp, 13 years ago! I actually got a $50 token payment for it, but the Producer's funding fell through, so the movie never got made. I hate it when that happens. Here's the log line, in case anyone knows a filmmaker who might be interested in pursing it:
"TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING" is a tense thriller set at NYU and Greenwich Village. Sam Howell's student film, an intriguing depiction of voyeurism coupled with obsession, foreshadows a grisly crime committed by Janet Grieves, his bitter ex-girlfriend.
